On Cisco (and some other) routers you can use the command "show memory" to get some of this information. On Cisco routers you can also try "show memory summary" and "show memory io" and "show memory proc". There are other variations. Also use the "show proc memory" to display the memory used per process. Also use the "show stacks" command. You can get more information on all of these commands and more in any of the IOS Configuration guides, an example link is below.
