Cindy Lauper was brought in to wrestling in the mid-80s as part of the 'Rock 'n' Wrestling' package. The idea was to combine wrestling with hit music (The MTV generation was just starting) and lure new fans.

She was not Lou Albano's manager. She was brought in to manage Wendi Richter, a woman who held the Woman's title and was feuding with Fabulous Moolah.

HA!!!!! The Hot Rod wasn't a "pup" when Cyndi Lauper came to fame. Piper had been wrestling since the 70s. He is also a great guy to hang out and party with.

I don't remember Cyndi Lauper being a Diva. I remember her being at a Wrestlemania, she had that one wrestler in her video, "Girls just want to have fun", I can't remember his name, but he used to wear a rubberband on his beard.
