I used to live in San Bernardino CA. and used to make midnight trips to Las Vegas and it's the road through the desert and it's beacuase it's flat, pitch dark and two lanes and people have a tendancy to fall asleep at the wheel and get mezmerized and go off road. They can't close it beacuase it's the only road there.
