I had sex before my period which was a joke. Joke being the person pulled out and it was just a nightmare. The boyfriend and I had split up. My period came on time and it was a full period. This is the only period I have had. I had sex after my period with my boyfriend who is now my husband. We starting planning for a baby because we both wanted one. Since I had a full period and nothing sense then this baby has to be my husbands right? I was told that if you have one period and nothing else you are fine. Like no spotting or bleeding or etc. I'm kinda scared that the stupid sex I had before might be the father and not my husband. It would devestate us both. I was just wondering. I'm due April 25, 2007. My conception day is August 2nd. I had my period on July 19th and I had sex either on July 7th or 14th. Someone with experience please let me know. I'm extremely worried. The doctor seems to think I am fine. Just curious about what everyone else thought. Thanks.

Highly unlikely that the "stupid sex" can have resulted in conception. If as you say you had what seemed like a proper, full period (not a small amount of spotting, which could have been an early pregnancy implantation bleed) then it seems most likely that you ovulated/conceived after that last period.

Have you had an ultrasound scan? If the due date by scan matches the due date by LMP (the first date of your last monthly period) then this should fully put your mind at rest.

Ovulation occurs 2 week after your period. There is only a 24 hour window that an egg is available for feritization. You don't need to worry sperm only live 1 to 3 days inside the body. If your due date has been confirmed by your doctor there is no chance he is off by a whole month you would be around 20 weeks if it was the other guy and the baby would be 6 1/2 inches and 9 ounces. big difference from 16 weeks (4 2/3 inches and 2 3/4 ounces) Don't stress your baby doesn't need that.

I think it is very unlikely that it is the other guys baby. If you are really worried then you should have a DNA test when the baby is born, but honestly will it make a difference? If you and your husband want to have children will you feel any better knowing a baby isn't biologically his? If you had a full period after you had sex with your ex then it is more than likely it is your husbands baby.

If your conception date is August 2nd and you had sex with the other man in the beginning of July, then the baby can't be his. How did you come up with the conception date? Is it just from what you told the doctor, or was an ultrasound done to get the age of the fetus?

you're probably fine. if the baby was the "other" guy's... the conception date would have been a lot earlier. The ultrasounds early on that project the fetus' age are usually really accurate. They definitely wouldn't be off almost an entire month. So don't worry about it! Enjoy your pregnancy. it's an exciting time!!

You had a period since you had sex with the other man. you are fine! Don't worry and don't let the guilt get to you. Enjoy it and be sure in the knowledge that the baby is your boyfriends. Don't tell him to ease your guilt either. It doesn't work.. I hope you have a good pregnancy.....Don't worry .....!!!!

You might have a problem, since July is about 9 months away from next April.

However, if you hold your breath that long you will definately miscarry and die from lack of oxygen, so don't hold your breath.

You might want to discuss this with your husband, you might not dare.

Either way, your hunch could prove true.

I don't think the sperm from the other guy could have survived 2 weeks until your egg was released (especially if you had a period afterwards)
