Well, here's the deal. I'm 18 and really feel uncomfortable talking to my mom about this stuff. I was just wondering what the average size of a vaginal hole is, considering the girl is a virgin and hasn't used a tampon or anything. I have been getting a little worried as of lately. Can any of you women see the "hole" itself, in a relaxed position? The thing is, when pressure is exerted on mine, then it slightly opens up. It also looks small. So, what's the average size supposed to be? Mine looks to be about the size of a straw, but when it stretched to that size, it begins to hurt a little.
I will go to a gyno when I am 21, but right now, I am just curious. Anything is appreciated

At 18 years old you really should already know these things, if your parents did not educate you then you are more than old enough to educate yourself about these things, it's your responsibility to know and care for your body. Everyone's vagina is different, the size of the vagina also depends on a lot of things the most obvious being if a woman is aroused or not because the vagina almost doubles in size when aroused. Relaxed the diameter is about an inch, length is normally between 3-4 inches. Most women can see their vaginas and vulvas, it's an important part of learning about your body to be able to look and see how things change at different times of the month and different stages of arousal.

Most women can see the vaginal opening when relaxed. It looks small, but it is naturally designed to stretch to accommodate a penis or a baby. When the time comes when you want to have sex, chances are you'll be relaxed enough and your partner will be gentle enough with you so that it won't be all that uncomfortable. Always use protection, and once you do become sexually active you should see a gyno regularly every year.

I do not think the size you indicated is a problem that flesh is very elastic and will stretch to accomodate. A Virgin will experience some pain with her first experience. However if the elasticity is not sufficient a doctor may be needed to correct a possible problem. Hope this helps, I have an 18 year old daughter too.

The vagina has many small folds in it and the tissues are very elastic. The opening will enlarge somewhat with use, but the vagina is designed to stretch. When a woman has a baby, it stretches a great deal. Right now, as you are virgin, it should be a small opening. Don't worry, when the time comes, your first sexual partner will have no trouble opening it up.

There is no average size. Trust me, it opens up just fine when it is ready to. You don't have to wait until you are 21 to see a GYN, you can go now. Get your first pap and get it over with. The doctor will tell you whether you are average (which I bet you are.) I have never tried to look at mine. Why would I. I have been using tampons (and other things..LOL) just fine for over 30 years. (Tampons, not sex for 30 years. LOL)

If youre a virgin and dont use tampons, it'll be really small. In fact, if you try to use a tampon now, it'll probably be uncomfortable. Don't worry, when youre ready to have sex, it'll probably hurt the first couple of times, but it will stretch a little over time. You're totally normal.
And you should go to the gyno as soon as you become sexually active. You shouldnt wait til 21.

The vagina is one of the most elastic of all tissues. Think about it, the vagina expands enough to allow a baby to pass through it. Don't worry.

are you are virgin, if yes your whole is going to be small because nothing has went in there but when you continue having sex your whole gets bigger. Thats why your first time hurts because it is so small and somthing big is going in there.

Well curious, from a mans view point the hole is large enough to take the whole thing. Just a little K-Y lube an this will open enough to accommodate a very large mans penis. Ask more ?s. You will see.
