There are numerous solving strategies... too long to explain here. Most people work a layer at a time (top third, middle third and bottom third). There are other strategies that align the corners then do the middle squares.
I would just do a search of the web and you'll find lots of information on solving the cube, speed cubing, blind cubing, etc.

About 20 years ago, I had it memorized, but I can't remember what it was. I haven't seen one in over 10 years.
