No way. It is never too late to go back to college. Older students also usually make for the best students because they tend to be more focused and interested in lectures. I found this to be the case when I was an undergraduate. Many of the older students had more confidence and did an excellent job reading the text material. When it came time for lecture, they would ask the professor many questions. They just for the most part had a bit more of a thirst for knowledge than most younger students. I even saw a group of men that were over 80 years old that took an upper level Latin American history course with me. I was about 20 ant the time and I always used to get a kick out of how motivated those old codgers were! They were really into history.

No, why would this be the wrong thing to do? Anyone can go to college it is never to late to gain some more knowledge. And today now, more than ever before people are changing careers at a later age. And many parents are returning to college after they have stayed home and raised the children.I myself returned to university after my youngest child was in junior high school. My grandmother went to college every winter to take classes because she said she would be bored. She held a bachelors degree in nursing, and continued on to obtain a Doctoral degree by the time she retired. Now she is retired and works part time in music and art therapy with seniors in nursing homes. Isn't that silly, she is a senior herself. But there is proof that people who retire and then still keep themselves busy doing something that they enjoy live longer more prosperous lives. So, no one is ever to old to return to college. I think it is a very good idea personally.

No. You may be old but the hunger to learn if it burns within you must be satisfied. Age has nothing to do with learning It is just so set in every ones mind that ages 18 - 26 perhaps are for studying. I am also going to Harvard Business School to take some courses it is USD 60,000 for the course but I can afford it so I can study Why not

Absolutely not! Who says that college is only for the 18-to-22 year old set? No one is EVER too old for learning and knowledge. And I bet they get a lot more out of it than the 18-to- 22 year olds who just go to college to party!

You are never too old to learn and get an education! My mom went back to school while I was still in high school, and it was the best choice she ever made, she now has a better job and makes more money. She no longer has to struggle financially like she did when we were young kids.

It's never too late to go back to college. I know this pastor whose mother got her master's at 60! I feel like life in itself is a continuous learning process, and going back to school after you've raised children, etc gives you a much different perspective because you're approaching your education from a more mature mindset and I feel it makes you a better student as well. You're less distracted by growing pains and can see more applications to the knowledge you're gaining.

Sometimes those older people were too busy working, raising their families etc. to go to college when they were younger, so it is a real high for them to be able to go later. Interestingly enough, they are usually very good students. They aren't as distracted by the social life, they're diligent about doing homework, and they are self-directed with good study habits.

you are never to old to go to college! Matter of fact it takes a special energetic adult to do this. Adults usually are done raising their children and there more and more going to school to get a better career. I say hurrah for anyone older going back to college...I went back at 48 and got my degree in nursing and there was more than I going too!

No, I think it's great that people decide to go back to college. I married young and now have a son. Once things are a little more stable, I would love to further my education.
