Are there any manga series that feature characters who are into extreme sports? I don't mean motorsports, but stuff like BMX, skateboarding, snowboarding, etc.

Air Gear is about rollar-blading that became even more extreme because of the developement of the shoes. It's quite popular too.

To answer you. There hasnt been a big over rated anime about extreme sports due to that those kind of extreme sports are mostly known in the USA. But hey, if they can make an anime about basketball. Then there might be a chance. Just keep a heads up at animenewsnetwork.com
