First, time is a dimension of experience of duration, the fourth perspective. It is true that time as we experience it is basically illusion, but that does not invalidate time,in only means, time is different than we think. We have much more freedom in time than we realize. We can experience time in a more freer fashion.Events are "objects" in this dimension,as a chair is an object in the third dimension(perspective),space and matter. The fourth perspective also allows you to view the nature of action and transformation. There is much more to speak of,but I hope you enjoy the introduction.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines time as "the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future, regarded as a whole."
The American Heritage Dictionary defines time as "a nonspatial linear continuum in which events occur in an apparently irreversible succession."
Encarta, Microsoft's Digital Multimedia Encyclopedia, gives the definition of time as "System of distinguishing events: a dimension that enables two identical events occurring at the same point in space to be distinguished, measured by the interval between the events."

NOW YOU CAN SELECT THE BEST ONE.

Time is the manifestation or ‘product’ of the illusion of separation which is a byproduct of the material world. And since the idea of separation needs the concept of duality (two objects) where I have a concept of ‘self’ and of ‘the other’, I have to have a grid of reality where cutting distance and time (effort) is the law.

How did that illusion of separation come about? It was born the instant the concept of ‘self’ emerged and that self became aware of its own existence (consciousness / individuality / singularity). In other words, I am me and I am aware that the ‘me’ I am conscious of, is not ‘you’. And that IDEA projected a reality of separation.

In other words, time and self are projections of an IDEA of self, and each idea manifested another idea and the myriad of ideas merged into the ‘caption’ you live now (the golden mean).

An illusion we are given so that we can comprehend our experiences and learn from them incrementally. Or this at least applies to the minority who came here to learn. The majority only exists, and they just utilise their opportunities.
