I certainly can, in our civil society religion shouldn't matter. In fact however, it does and I prefer to know not so much the religion but how devout the politician is--the more devout, the less I like them because the more likely they are to let their religion color their decisions. I don't want anybody forcing their religion or the implicit results of their religion on me.

There is freedom of religion in America as well as separation of church and state. I vote for the candidates views. Just because someone is the same or similar religion as you, doesn't mean you will always agree with them.

Uhhh, yeah, I believe I do have the ability to perform that sooo difficult of a task. However, I do prefer to make the most informed decision when judging who will be our president, and therefore would prefer to know the candidates' religions. I believe that only peace-supporting religions should instill the foundation of humanity in our world leaders, and religions that incite violence or hatred for other religions should not be practiced by them. There's the honesty you've been searching for!

Of course! I would hope that we all vote that way. There are so many brilliant leaders out there who come from various religious backgrounds why would we want to exclude them from consideration? What if the people in power were only one religion and it was one you didn't agree with? Scary thought. Separation of church and state is so important and without it we really aren't much of a democracy are we.

I don't care about a candidate's religion. My main concern is with the candidate's stand on the issues and their voting record. If they don't vote according to their platform I don't vote for them.

Yes you can and yes you should.
As we have seen just someone is religious does not mean they are good..we have seen enough proof that claiming to be christian, jewish, etc doesn't mean they will act according to those principles.
Religion is not something that should involved in politics because it leads to people trying to make their religious laws the laws of the land for all people in a country of religious freedom

when I vote for a politican, I want him to do his job right. I don't care what kind of religion he has. This is none of my business as long as his religion doesn't interfere with his job.

Religion has nothing to do with politics. Look at thier policies..and choose the candidate that you agree the most with. Who cares if they are Catholic, Jewish, Pagan, Hindu...etc.... their religious beliefs has no effect on the house vote.

because of the fact it variety of feels to be undemanding among atheist leaders to initiate persecuting and killing religious human beings. only seem on the U.S., the eastern Bloc, Albania, Cambodia, N.ok, modern-day France. mutually because it somewhat is no longer substantial to me, some human beings will seem at history, and the atheist communities immediately, and notice such mindless rage and anger, that they are terrified of what they'd do in the event that they're put in ability. human beings, given 9/11, additionally are not extremely in prefer of Muslims only because of the fact they sense they'd sympathize with Islamic international locations helping terrorists. And plus, maximum human beings are Christian, and sense their faith is a substantial part of their existence, so as that they'll want a candidate who sympathizes with them.
