All I know is that our economy is better than ever and we have not had any attacks on the US since 9/11. The NASDAQ is at an ALL TIME record high, mortgage rates are still low, unemployment is down and there are more homeowners than ever before in our history. However, Bush never gets any recognition for his achievments, only his failures.

Whether or not we agree with anybody, we should have the ability to OBJECTIVELY weigh the good and bad and give credit, or lack of credit, where it is due. My point is that it is easier to criticize and be part of the problem instead of coming up with solutions. Our problems and triumphs are not one man's responsibility regardless of their Political Party.

You poor, naive soul. The current economy is driven by the billions we're spending in Iraq and from those programs supporting the war. Our current debt is 8 TRILLION DOLLARS. Does that represent a healthy economy? No attacks on American soil? It took the terrorists nearly a decade to plan and execute 9-11. Our borders are not secure. Our ports are not secure. Our airport security is a joke. Don't get too comfy. Unemployment is down, but name one bill or action Bush has initiated to directly affect this? Yes, there are more homeowners, and foreclosure notices as well. Many homeowners are a paycheck away from bankruptcy.

The sad truth is that there is no comparison between Bush's few "accomplishments" and his innumerable failures. Wake up and smell the incompetency.

Do you really feel the economy is better than ever??? The corporate economy is better than ever, but how does that help the average American put food on the table for his/her family? Mortgage rates are still low, but loan rates on college education as well as tuition have skyrocketed. Foreclosure rates have also been at an all time high during the Bush Administration. Health Ins. rates have nearly doubled since GWB came into office. Another 5 million American families have been added to the ranks of poverty since Bush came into office. The national debt has nearly doubled and nearly a half a billion was spent on interest alone on the debt this year. Nearly $7,000 a second is being spent on the war in Iraq.

There's a lot of non-positive going on under this president. A record DOW or NASDAQ does not reflect the average American. If you are making $200,000 or more a year, that DOW or NASDAQ number might be indicative of how you are doing. For the average American who has seen "real Income" drop each of the last five years it does not reflect how increases from tuition, health ins. coverage, groceries, etc, etc. are far outpacing anyones increase in wages.

Does that answer your question????

When republicans start giving Clinton credit for preventing terrorist attacks on the US for nearly 8 years instead of blaming him for 9/11 then I'll give Bush credit for 5 years.
The stock market was continuously breaking records during the Clinton administration, no credit was given there. Unemployment now is back down to where it was at the end of the Clinton administration AND he left office with a budget surplus. Last time I checked we had record deficits which cause us to borrow massive amounts of money and will eventually drive interest rates back up.

President Bush is extremely competent; he's managed to make sure that the investor class in society is richer than ever. The war in Iraq has accomplished exactly what it was intended to do; to take the number 2 oil producing nation offline thus ensuring historic highs in oil prices and greater upward stability in the oil markets. If you are a corporate titan then Bush is your man; he lifted tax and environmental burdens on these colossul profit making machines.

"Our economy is better than ever"; for whom? Wealth distribution in this country is the worst in the industrialized world; this means that the average person in America is worse off today by 20% than in 1980 when this Republican nightmare began with Reagan. The US has the worst education and health care statistics in the Western world.

According to our own constitution and countless treaties that bind our national laws, the Bush administration is guilty of war crimes, aggression, crimes against humanity, treason and high crimes and misdemeanors. His accomplises in the Congress are equally guilty. We are bound by the findings and judgements from our prosecution of the Nazi's at Nuremburg. His assault on our civil liberties is only surpassed by Woodrow Wilson. The countless lies and fear mongering delivered to the American people in the wake of 9-11 is beyond reproach.

I suspect you are not a tycoon; you merely a pawn that media systems have successfully brainwashed.

I'll give you an analogy, we (Americans) have been taken for a ride on the death star and the only difference between our current dear leader and Darth Vader is that at one moment in time Vader had a soul. The other problem with being on the death star is that you have to build a massive propaganda machine to insure that everyone on it doesn't actually believe their on it; and the suffering planet below is our foriegn policy.

um ... i guess you can say the economy is better if you don't take into account the fact that the USA is TRILLIONS of dollars in debt (mostly to communist China).

no attacks in America since 9/11 can not be attributed to the Bush admin since they have not yet secured our ports, our borders, our nuke and chemical plants. it took many years of planning to bring about the 9/11 attacks. Al Queda is quite patient and methodical. too bad the Bush admin saw fit to expend so much money and resources in Iraq instead of putting our tax money and National Guard to use at Home.

um ... stock market is only a fun indicator for the wealthy. regular Joe is getting reamed. and mortgage rates are not staying low for those foolish enough to buy into those adjustable mortgage schemes. more foreclosures in the past 2 years than in any time in US history.

sorry ... but the Bush misadminstration as been one FUBAR after another and it'll take decades to undo the damages he and his greedy cronies have done to the Constitution, our military, our National reputation and the environment.

PPS. oh. one more thing ... KATRINA

Hello. Hello? Hello! Is there a brain in there somewhere? Not ONE of the "positives" you name can be credited to Bush - not a single one! Your remark that begins with "All I know..." shows that you don't know much at all, at least about economics. As for his shortcomings - Bush IS his failures! War on Terror? Failure. Supporting public education (No Child Left Behind)? Failure.
Relief from high prescription costs for seniors? Failure. Hurricane relief for New Orleans and the Gulf Coast regions equally shattered by that wind? Failure. Relief from ever-escalating transportation costs/gasoline price gouging? Failure. Sensible approach to the very real problem of global warming? Absolute failure. Bringing freedom and democracy to the rest of the world? Abject failure. Defending and abiding by the just laws of the United States? Failure so abject it's criminal.
Want me to go on? The list is longer - a LOT longer!

clinton negotiated no longer something he replaced into basically the bypass-fer. it replaced right into a finished deal before he set foot on the plane. probable the clarification there hasn't been an attack considering obama took place of work is through regulations bush put in place and extra useful cooperation between intelligence companies worldwide. if i've got been you i'd hesitate to apply unemployment information to show your component. bypass lower back and verify the unemployment figures over the bush yrs. they began going "south in a hurry" as you place it as quickly as the democrats regained ability in 06. i think of it would make you sense plenty extra useful if we were attacked lower back? you think of the attack replaced into deliberate in below 8 months. stable success with that concept. it somewhat is a super help to seem lower back and attempt and bypass the blame to somebody else once you are able to no longer safeguard the regulations of the present administration. as harry truman(a democrat) as quickly as reported: "the dollar stops right here." president obama needed the interest, now it is his dollar which by potential of ways is now well worth $.75. it is the substitute he replaced into talking approximately.

Thanks to Bush, Clinton's surplus has been turned into a record deficit that our great-grandchildren will probably still be paying off. Also, he has started a war that was based on a lie and has failed to capture the main person responsible for the 9/11 attacks. (In case you've forgotten, it was Osama bin Laden, not Saddam Hussein, who was responsible.)
