If i get a degree in family medicine, can i do my residency anywhere i choose?

Usually, the teaching hospitals will pick the residents that have finished their school portion. It is like you are able to scout around in the fields you are interested, as if job hunting, then those that are interested in you will offer a spot. Good luck!

No, you have to apply and submit your records and letters of recomendation and wait for them to respond.
