Unless they've changed the rules again, lately. It has forever been restaurant workers, dry cleaners help, and farm hands.

As far as I know, in Canada at least, the only ones exempt from the minimum wage would be those based solely on commission and don't have an hourly wage.

In Ontario Canada, waitressing has a minimum wage (it is lower than regular minimum wage because of tips).

There is some controversy around apprenticeship schemes which are sometimes exempt and waitressing where tips can sometimes be taken into consideration.
