I read this book. My mom let me have it it's amazing! It's about this girl named Yasmin (i know real funny) and she winds up falling for this duke or something named edward and he has a real seedy history and everyoe hates him, except her and hse can't understand why, but it's great. It's called Fairer Than She, by Theresa Charles. I loved this book. Mostly intrigue, but defiantely a love story but not like a harlequin, defiantely great. I tottally recomend it.

Check out books by Luann Rice. She writes romances with some suspense, but mostly deal with family issues. Her books are very heartwarming and are light on the sex scenes.

To me though, it sounds like you are looking for the standard Mills & Boon books.

Have a look on this site:

I'm sure that some of the romance ones might be just what you are looking for.

Happy reading.

Nicholos Sparks, writer of the Notebook, also has several other very good books. I recommend the Wedding.

But there is a problem - their couples: a wife and a husband. And they cannot get a divorce (why? don't know. money? catholicism?)/ Solvation is double murder...
Is it that you are looking for?

Jennifer Cruise writes a pretty good book. "Bet Me" is my favorite. There is actually a story to read. It's not all heaving bosoms.
