I think it is a bit early. I find the norm is after Thanksgiving decorating can begin, because technically the holidays begin around Thanksgiving and end after New Year's. Maybe they are feeling very festive and want to start early.

I dont' think it's too early. I'm putting my outside lights on the house today after work. why? the pure and simple reason is because it's warm today and it's the last warm day for months and months and I'd rather do it early than freeze my *** off later on!

Why does it matter? If they want their tree up early, they are free to do so. They're not hurting anyone.

The Christmas lights and tree all already up in my town. I don't mind, because it's not so dark when I walk home from work.

Sometimes it's hard not to put up decorations early...some stores where I live have had their Christmas decorations & stuff on sale since September. Some people just really love Christmas...
