If you wait until the divorce they will give you the paperwork to change your name legally then. If you do it now, you will have to pay for the name change.

If it makes you feel better then yes you should. of course you dont have to change it on paper yet (that can be done after the divorce is final) but you could start referring to yourself with your maiden name and that way people around you can start getting used to the idea

Only if you really want to. Some women want their maiden name back because they are divorcing and they do not want that connection any longer.

I changed mine back before my divorce. I felt it no longer represented who I am. I'm now remarried and continue to use only my maiden name.

I'd wait to do it legally. There is so much work when you do. All credit cards and any other creditors will want proof & it's a time consuming pain.
