Im trying to look at my account?

I have a current account with the BOP credit union in Califorinia. in the past i was able to open my account and check on the balance. now when im trying to get into it im getting a message that says if i want to use active website i have to download a later version of microsoft internet explorer. I currently have microsoft internet explorer 7. any ideas.
