i hate snakes. don't know how many times i have almost stepped on one while fishing AND!!,, last time i went fishing i caught one. it slid into the water right beside me and i tried to whack it with my pole and hooked it!! it went crazy tryN to bite me!! finally i killed it w. some rocks. on of my pals has a snake!! they feel so nasty!!

In the Ontario Science Centre last week--a big black corn snake.
In the wild it was a month ago in the Adirondacks--just a wee garter snake. Still....not a fan of snakes. Irrational fears I guess.

Last night I saw a 24' python that weighed 304 lbs. on David Letterman.

The last time I saw a snake was about four years ago, when I lived in Oklahoma. It was a diamondback, and it was big.
I went the other way. :)

a couple months ago, one came up on my back porch and started climbing up the wall. i saw it through the back window and watched it from inside. it was about 4 ft, maybe 4 1/2, looked like a python, but i wasn't sure. i watched it for a few minutes, until he realized he was being watched, then he slithered out into the yard and back into the woods. it was awesome.

and I am OK with going another 12 or more before I see another one.
They are creepy!
