Yes, a living will is a must but that really only helps with medical decisions when you can't make the decision. (How much CPR, how long will you be on life support, etc.)
You need to think about things that become difficult/impossible with old age (like driving for errands, or if you have Alzheimers remembering to eat, etc.)
One really good thing to do is immerse yourself in some organizations now be it church/congregation, community group, some other random social group and work to have friends so that you all can keep an eye on one another as you get older. One of you is bound to be "with it" longer than the others. :)
Also get long term care insurance to take care of things like assisted living rather than being forced into a nursing home. Sometimes it's better to go into a retirement community or assisted living when you can still plod along on your own because you establish a routine and relationships there before you start losing it, whether it is physical or mental capabilities.
The best thing though is friends and family and having the financial resources available.

i trust that everybody has the right to grant or refuse consent and if, as for that reason, a baby is unable to (or a mentally incapacitated human being) then the technique could not flow ahead. even as I deeply sympathise with the favor for study to be done, our rights as people could not be skipped over. that is purely yet another step in route of dictatorship.

You need to have a living will and ensure your doctor knows about it. You can give it to a "trusted friend" for safe keeping. Also, if you are ever close to being in a state where your health is deteriorating, you can appoint some type of guardian.

i guess it would depend on if you had money or not and if you were a nice person.Nice people always impact others lives and therefore others want to take care of them. However if you are not a nice person you might wanna rethink things.Cause it could come down to you proped up in the sun baking

You should definatly have a living will, this allows your family, docotrs, and care providers to know exactly what you want and how you want to be taken care of.
