ok so i would suggest you do a few things.
1) make sure you like acting and performing, join a local drama group and audition for plays. this will give you a taste for rehearsing for learning lines and for performing in front of an audience.
2) make sure your doing it for the right reasons, why do you want to become an actress is it for the fame and the fortune do you want to be an actress because you think it's a glamarous life and that you won't need to work hard? if so i suggest you get a new ambition because it isn't the right reason to become an actress you need dedication and commitment and you will need to start at the bottom and be told No a thousand times before you get anywhere near fame and fortune.
3) if you decide that you want to become an actress because you love performing and acting and want to do it as a career look at going to drama college and get a degree in acting and they will be able to tell you if you have the Gift of being able to perform.
remember nto everyone can act and perform it's a hard life and it's not all mansions and big bucks there is a hell of a lot of hard work dedication and rejections that you are going to have to get used to
good luck

1) Master your craft - act, take lessons, read, practice.
2) Develop and hone a second talent: singing or an instrument are best.
3) Get your portfolio prepared - with professional or professional-grade photos.
4) Go to Hollywood or New York and read the dailies: go to every single casting call you fit the criteria for.
5) Accept an 3rd tier parts. The FIRST second tier part you get, get an agent!
Never stop going to casting calls - until your agent tells you to quit.

You should try getting some local acting classes or looking at different colleges that offer acting and theater, any of those would help. Best bet is to continue with school and have a back up plan. Also when looking at schools, look for colleges that are known for there acting programs. Read up on your favorite actors bio's to find what they did. Best of luck!!

The best thing you can do is get an agent, and make sure their not scaming you. Theres a great book out there that can teach you how to break into acting. Its called "Breaking into Acting for Dummies" It tells you every thing you need to know about how to get into acting, it tells you about agents, and how to know if they are scaming you, how to do a good audition, how to make a good portfolio, and headshot. How to manage your money when your trying to make it. You should take a look at it, It really helps.

start acting locally and build a resume, including your singing, acting, and dancing experience...relocate to a big city (LA, NYC, even Boston) and get an agent or look up auditions through message boards or www.craigslist.com although you might not get paid at first, you will gain experience and references..
