Just wondering if it's really possible to be "just friends" after the sexual relationship.

Yes, it is possible. Although, I do feel that such friendship inevitably includes *some* "spark" left behind from the sexual phase of the relationship.

You should always be a freind with your wife. You don't mean you have sex before marriage and risk AIDs do you? If so, you should be asking a different type of question, like how often should I be going to the doctor? Please let any stupid girl you date know that you have had sex within the last two years before they agree to have sex. Thats the gestation period for HIV. That way you can at least testify in your defense during the civil suit when her family goes after your fortune for not being honest sentencing her to a terrible death along with yourself.. Or against her because she didn't tell you!

I am very good friends with the very first guy that I slept with. We were only 15 at the time. We had a good break-up. It's been over 15 years and we are still friends. It is possible.

Yes it is. Still best friends with my first lover. Always have been always will be. Just because we were not good as a couple, does not mean we could not have a great friendship. Best confidante I've ever had.

I'm gay, but in college I slept with this one girl who was actually a friend of the last girl I ever dated. She knew I was gay at that point, but we got really baked one afternoon and something just happened. Afterwards it was a little weird, but we both just chalked it up to a casual mistake and were able to get over ourselves. We're still friends now and we've never had sex again...lol.

Just depends on the maturity level of both involved. Is there any reason you should though? It might be better to just move on. Think about when you have another boyfriend/girlfriend. It might be awkward for them.

My wife's girlfriend and my wife and I had a few encounters, we're not involved sexually anymore, but we're all still good friends.
