I have been taking birth control for a while and now I want to get pregnant. I haven't taken it for a couple of weeks and I have been trying to get pregnant. Do you think I can get pregnant soon or have I become unable to?

The effect of the pill will go away only after about 4 months after stopping it.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 4th month lapses after you stopped the pill, the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

You can get pregnant AS SOON as you stop the pill. Some people get pregnant right away, and it takes others a few months to get pregnant. It just depends how long it takes your body to regulate itself (begin ovulating again). Despite what you may have heard, getting pregnant right after coming off the pill will not affect your baby in any way. The only reason some say to wait is so that your body has a chance to get into its regular cycle and it is easier to determine an accurate due date. Good luck to you!

You need to chill for one thing stress messes w/ infertility. Like a lot of people said talk w/ a doctor you should anyways before you ttc. Also buy pre-natal pills and start taking them right away it will help w/ any birth defects. Depending on your age will also depend when you should seek a infertility specailtist. Under 30 wait a year over 30 wait 6 months. But w/ taking b/c I might even tack on a little bit longer w/ that.

You should really wait till you have had your period then stop your birth control. as for getting pregnant quick it don't always happen that way after all was Rome built in a day? it can take up to a year even longer for some women to get pregnant also it can take up to a year for your body to get back to normal after coming off the pill

Since coming off the bc have you had a period yet? You can't get pregnant until that happens. I stopped taking bc at the end of sept and I had a normal first month, my cycle was right on time so now I know what to expect. You can always try the first month after you come off bc but I waited to give my boy time to adjust.

I think that you can still get pregnant, unless your doctor tells other wise. How long have you been on the pill? If you've been on it for a long time then you will need to give your body time to adjust to not being on the pill, keep on trying and see if it happens. If it still doesn't happen then you and your partner would need to see the doctor and ask them whats going on. I wish you all the luck in the world.

You should be able to soon. Give a few months. Sometimes it takes a while to get out of your system. I have a friend who use to be on the pill & it took her 5 months but it's different with everyone. Don't worry & try to be patient! It'll happen...
Good luck!

Well you could be unable to but the first step is stop useing comdoms and talk to your doctor. But if you are unsure that you want to be pregent than wait a while till you are for sure, because there are a lot of unhappy parents in this world and unhappy crazy kids to.
