I've always wondered when it rains i just want to go to sleep it was raining this morning well it still is i didn't wake up until 11:30 this morning! Good thing i didn't have school today!!!!

Because it is soothing and a constant sound. It is a statistic fact that most people sleep better when listening to rain sounds because they are calming and filter out other noises. So that is probably why you slept all day :)

Lack of sunshine... the sunlight stimulates a physiological response. When it's raining there's no sunlight.

rain falling just has a very lulling effect combined with the gloominess it provides...

perhaps soothing sound of it, perhaps darker. hard to know it always energizes me.
