I do not think gay marriage or abortion should be made illegal. I am simply an economic conservative and morally apathetic. I believe drugs should be decriminalized and marijuana legalized. I think the drinking age should be lowered as it serves to curb binge drinking, alcoholism and drunk driving, as people become accustomed to drinking earlier in life and it does not gain the "forbidden fruit" aura. I am economically conservative, however, and feel that taxes show be dramatically lowered, the welfare state shrunken, and national security buffed up. I feel that my moral stances make me different from many conservatives

I am pro-choice, but only to a degree. It's not birth control, people! Anyone using it as such should be spayed like a damned dog.
I support gay rights. A friend of mine (straight) didn't believe in marriage, but was in a long-term, committed relationship. When her boyfriend died after being hit by a drunk driver, his family refused to allow her into the hospital to say goodbye. No one should have to endure that!!
I support medical marijuana. If a doctor can prescribe morphine, why not pot? That is just stupid.
I support legalizing prostitution and regulating it - outlawing it obviously hasn't worked, and we should try to protect those women.
All that being said, I am VERY for sustainable natural resource management. I live in the largest state in the union, yet only 1% of our land is privately held (that figure comes from the head of the Northern Studies Program at UAF). People in the states ***** that Alaska is a welfare state, yet we're not allowed to develop our own resources!! I also believe in a strong military and fully funded intel agencies. That is why I vote Republican.

I think Alex and I may have been seperated at birth. LOL I'm an agnostic and "morally" apathetic describes me to a T. However, I'm torn about the legalization of drugs. The Evangelical Christian Right in my same party makes me uncomfortable, but I can live with it.

I'm a libertarian. A TRUE conservative who believes in limited government, limited legislation, and limited taxation. Also fiscal responsibility in government. Read up on Barry Goldwater, the father of conservatism for what USED to be considered conservatism.

No abortion for any reason at all and no death penalty .No gun control at all including the ability to purchase any weapon one chooses .I believe in life and the right to it and and am not for any extreme medical care .Cut it out, stitch it up ,or replace it ,is all .Forget two years of all sorts of expensive life prolonging services that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars .
If you are christian then you die and go to heaven so why all the extraordinary means to prolong a life , at the time and expense of everyone concerned if you are just going to die in a year or two .
Yes life is precious but we go to far in many cases and have people hooked up to machines far to long .Make people comfortable if possible and let them die .
Reduce government to defense only and let the states handle the rest . This would include a tax upon entering another state paid up front if you are going to reside and receive services .
You can petition your former state to reimburse you when you leave for services you did not use .
This means pay as you go and whats yours is yours .
Make all services voluntary like paying for national parks and maintenance of national lands .
I do not want to pay to maintain a park in Alaska and I do not want Alaskans to pay for my beach and lake care .
I do not want the government passing a law that says i may not harm myself if I wish to .
Like smoking drinking and drugging is each persons choice .
We need to stop blaming our actions while using chemicals that alter the mind on the chemical .
It is the user .So all drugs are legal gambling and prostitution are legal but doing anything to harm a growing life in a woman's body is illegal .once a woman has allowed herself to become pregnant rules apply to them and those around them .Rape victims who become pregnant are paid 500,000 dollars to carry the child to term , same as incest victims . Victims of crime are payed to replace the items and take care of medical bills and a flat pain and suffer fee paid .No more courts awarding money to people all people get paid by the state or government depending on the property it occured on .Ban insurance ,they promise many things and deliver little in return .
I have a dream that was america and until it is realized i will oppose those who would seek to destroy and control the lives of the many by the few .

I am not a religious fanatic, I just don't like giving my hard earned money to poor people since they had the same opportunity I did in life.

There are no stereotypical conservatives, only those that want to label others.
My DNA makes me unique.
