Have you tried restoring it? There's a difference between reset and restore. If you have Itunes 7 theres an automatic restore button. Try the apple website to go through the other options for fixing it. 90% of errors on an ipod are user error. failing that, take it back!

It might have a virus. Its a new worm out with music files that causes ipods to get a virus. You should take it back to wherever you got it from. Good luck

Buy a new one and hope that it's not a lemon like the one you already have. Don't bother with an extended warranty either. What happens after you buy and extended warranty is that the salesperson thanks you for the extra commission you made him and then laughs at you.

connect it to the pc, (avoid itunes for now) find it in 'my computer' and rightclick the icon, choose format.. FAT and ignore QUICK then all you will need to do is put your music back on... g/lucki

wen my nano died i sent it back to apple and they sent me a new one in a week. + they come to your house to pick it up and drop it off. !!!
