I agree with some of the things that Governer Pawlenty is campaining for and yet at the same time I agree with some of the things that Mike Hatch is campaining for. Does anyone have any thoughts for me as far as who I should vote for and why should I vote for that person?

I heard Hutchinson (the independent candidate) speak last year, and I was impressed with him. He's a great speaker and he seems to have a solid plan for the state. Unfortunately, I don't think he'll win (polls are putting him far behind Hatch and Pawlenty) so we will have to consider who of the remaining two candidates we would like to see win.

I generally think Pawlenty has done a decent job thus far, and as such I'll probably vote for him again, but I can't tell you how to vote. I was a little put off by the fact that Hatch has been so abrasive to reporters.

Try looking at this website: http://www.vote-smart.org/ for information about where candidates stand on certain issues.

I think we should have a club of our own here in Minnesota and start branches though out the state. We sure can't rely on either of the party's as all they have done is point out the other's faults. Voting party lines in this state are common but not for me. I vote strictly for a person and not along any party system. I am having the same difficulty your having with one exception. My question is what has the gov himself accomplished since he's been in office. Fees are taxes so he lied there. I sure haven't seen anything he's accomplished so the eliminates me from voting for him. That leaves two others. Now which of the two is the honest one and going to do something is my hang up. And Jessie???? You must be kidding. He lowered some taxes and refunded others and we've been up the creek with out a paddle since.

make up a chart with all of the issues that are important to you, and how important they are, and give each issue a point value. If X agrees with you on an issue, they get those points. Whoever agrees with you for the most points might be a good vote for you. If that doesn't work, go with your gut feeling.

If you have time to look up this and ask on yahoo, you have time to look up the candidates and make up your mind. The internet is a wonderful resource.
