my husband got run over on his motorcycle by a girl running a stopsign, he was in a wheelchair for 2 months and in extreme pain. she got a 100 dollar ticket for failure to yield, giggled and laughed at the scene of the accident and went on with her life.He may never fully recover.

Jimbo... her insurance barely covered the damage on the bike. we are going after the parents civilly now for the medical bills

That's just what they say is justice but sure not the victim of this accident.My boy was hit by a driver who ran a red light here in Mich.All he got was a ticket.But I'm sure in your case there is a law suit.But i think if you hurt or kill anyone in a accident you no longer can drive.My boy was in re hab for 5 months still has trouble with that leg.And i wish the best for you and hubby

Obsolutely , they should get punished big time. Just look at your husband. I know a young girl in Australia that was killed by a drunk and restless driver. He got a fine. Where is the justice here. It stinks.

That's when it's time to whip out a civil suit on her butt.
There should've been more done in court -- something to punish her for the bodily injury she caused but when that doesn't work, it's time to hit the civil suit!
