I was always afraid of roller coasters, but I think it was just due to getting myself worked up, and being intimidated by their size. I finally forced myself to break the fear a few years ago, by going on the biggest, most massive coaster at the park I was visiting. Ever since then, I have loved roller coasters in particular. I live in NJ, so the only parks I've been to are Six Flags Great Adventure and Busch Gardens-Williamsburg. I'd say that my favorite ride is a tie. It's between Nitro or El Toro. El Toro is the wooden coaster that opened up this year at Six Flags GA and is supposedly the tallest and fast wooden coaster in the world. I went on in for the first time in late August and could not believe how steep the drops were. I rode it in the dark, and at two points your stomach drops so far, that you feel like your going upside down on it.

I'll never forget my very first real roller coaster ride: Six Flag's The Batman. I have been in love with roller coasters ever since! The rush is amazing. I love being smashed into the chair or feeling like I'm going to fly away because of the centrifugal force.
Really the key to being able to enjoy a roller coaster (aside from swallowing any fear of heights) is to keep your eyes open and your stomach tight. My little brother did just the opposite the first time he went (also the Batman) and he got sick! Yuck... poor guy. Watch where you're going, and by all means, let out that energy that builds up inside and scream your head off!!!
If I've gotta pick something besides roller coasters, though, I guess it'd be bumper cars or something... to me everything pales beside the great twisters... ; )

I like water rides I love getting wet (don't mean that sexually lol) Have you ever been to wild water kingdom before? I love the water slides there. BQ: It'd be a HUGE rollercoaster where you get soaked. You'd go through a bunch of creepy caves and exit out of a waterfalls throughout the coaster ride. Throughout the whole ride you're getting soaked, but it's cool cuz you're also drying off from the huge drops of the coaster. At the end there's a HUGE tidal wave the soaks everyone. I'd call it Tidal Tempest Oh, geez, that makes me wet and I mean sexually this time! @ty: Yeah, the rides at Cedar point are intense. Way crazier than wonderland, altho WL is good. But yea, you should try it out, bro.

I think roller coasters are awesome. I love the g-forces you feel. It is a natural high. Especially the ones where you hang. YOu can't get hurt they check those things every hour and are tested all the time. Did you know there are less roller coaster accidents/per rides than there are airplane crashes and everyone knows it is safer to fly than to drive. You should do it just once on a hanging one. Not those bumpy old wooden roller coasters that bang and bop you around. I bet if you would go once you would be hooked.

My Favorite would have to be Batman at Six Flags, New England. I love the fist drop where you go straight down. This was my first year on it, and I'm 12, so it took me some time to get past the first loop.

rollar coasters are my favorite rides
loops arnt really scary once you try them because its almost impossibel for you to come out of you seat during a loop due to centripital force (when you swing a pale of water upside down and the water stays in the pale) ive only been on 1 caster theat doesnt do this and the loop wasnt a regular loop.
the scariest part i think on a rollar coaster is the little hills you go over cause you'll get negative gs and flaot out of your seat ewhne you go over them

It's all about the adreniline rush for me. It's almost like a high. You feel so good. It is scary, but sometimes it's good to be scared and to conquer your fears. My favorites though are not the roller coasters, it's the more mellow rides.

Big, Loopy, Fast, Crazy Dropping Roller Coasters.
I used to be so nervous on them, but I love them now!! That "ka-chunk, ka-chunk, ka-chunk" noise on the way up the first huge drop was always nerve-racking. But they're very safe, and very fun. Where else can you get the speed and thrill you can get on a roller coaster (besides sky diving....NOT for me!!)? Just keep riding them. You'll get over your fear.
