do you think this is a bit fishey since the race in tenn. is very close to begin with. and it seems that the area that the votes are missing is a strong area for the democrats

I'm a socialist but I do think you're a bit quick of the mark with the conspiracy theory. Mind you, it's hardly surprising after what happened in Florida in 2000.

Considering that my ex-husband, who hasn't lived in TN for 6 years, is still listed on the registrar, I assume the voters have simply moved.

Look at previous elections both parties (but mainly democrats) accuse everyone of cheating. It is minimal and exxagerated and happens on both sides. Don't fall for it.
