My wife of 7 years and I are seperated (I've been a terrible husband, one who hasn't really ever emotionally supported her, or made her feel as special as she is).

Anyway, I was riding with my buddy in his car yesterday, and the Incubus song 'I Miss You" started playing. I started crying...no that isn't the word for it; I flat out f*cking wept, sobbing, heaving, the whole nine yards.

I haven't cried since I was 8 years old and my father died, but I just couldn't help it.

I don't know why I'm telling you people this; I guess I just need to tell someone.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I love my wife.

WOW! I am sorry to hear about all of this pain you are feeling right now. I know how it feels to lose someone you love like that. It sounds like you should tell her everything you have just written to us strangers on the internet. And if you really want to make the change to be more supportive of her emotionally and make sure you are willing to make the change to tell her daily how important and special she is- she MAY just give you a chance. I mean, I don't know what the other circumstances are, but if you really love her, you will at least try to talk it out with her- the worst thing that can happen is she will tell you she wants to continue the separation and still get the divorce, but that is where it is heading now, so it will either stay the same... or get better.

Good luck!!!

OMG! That is the most heart-wrenching song I've ever heard too! Eventhough the band is alternative, you can deeply understand the words and it freakin' makes sense, huh?! Anyway, you should tell her how you feel. Come on, you've been married for 7 years and cannot tell me that you did communicate. If my husband (relatively speaking) and I were separated and he'd call me to tell me that...I would love to hear it from someone who'd at least thought of me and our situation, enough to make him cry. I really do hope that you can get your situations patched up and definitely work things out...for loves sake. It obviously brought up something in you that made you realize what you guys truly had...or else you wouldn't have gotten married in the first place. Try to find that love you once had and explain that to her.

Good luck buddy! I really hope this helps. Even though I don't know you, I just have to say I love you!

Now look at all the responses you get!! LOL!

Well, if you are truely sorry, you will not do what you did to be a bad husband again. Everyone deserves a second chance but only if you proove you deserve one. You need to buy her some flowers and get down on one knee and pour your heart out to the beautiful woman you married and make her know and feel that you truely are remorseful. Only then can you forgive yourself and she forgive you. Good luck.

it's good that you realize what you've done and the fact that you cried shows that you really do care for her. have you told her all that you've told us? if not, you should. i'm sure she still loves you, it's at least worth talking about! good luck

You shouldn't tell us. You need to tell her. At least you know where you went wrong so maybe you guys can fix things.
