gratitude too late
the dark bounded me to the chair
sitting with no sight in the black nothing there
alone if my thoughts weren't circling
around and around her sweet memories
in the old days when love was a touch
but then i didn't care to much
what was fortune in my hand
for now i understand
the importance in gratitude in being woman and man
please be honest, tell me how it makes you feel
what i could inprove on
what you liked about it
or anything.

"for now I understand" is a very profound line
The only thing that I would change is in the first line. I would change bounded to just bound.
