Depends on a lot of things. You could be drinking too much caffein, or too late at night; you could have worries bothering you; you could be snoring yourself awake; you could have sleep apnea; you could have a bad bed; you may have too much noise and/or light in your sleeping space; you could have restless leg syndrome; you could have a drug interaction; you could have a bladder problem.

OR

you may be sleeping with a person who has any of those issues.

I had this problem and I was told I have too many things going on in my life such as; kids, work, bills, problems etc.... and all these things are a sign of anxiety. Your mind is always going and doesn't want to stop even at night so you keep thinking and thinking and cannot get to sleep. I was prescribed some Xanax for anxiety and I only took them for a few days just to calm down my nerves and I have been sleeping pretty good every since. Some people take them for a much longer term but I just took them for as many days as I felt necessary. Good Luck but it is something that you need to get something for because your body needs rest not just sleep but rest and you can be sleep but not well rested. Go see your Dr.
