please do not keep in mind the war of troy movie!believe me there are a lot of things wrong there and i can be sure of that as i am greek.Achilleas was son of the nymphe Thetis.he was imortal but with one mortal point on his body, his heal!wen he was a baby thetis hold him from his heal over the fire of imortality so that is why his heal was the only point that if he was injured he could die and that was the reason of his death.his war equipments was a gift from god ifestus the god of fire.

forget the movie version
there was no long standing conflict between the two.

from Homer
Achilles didn't want to leave his family, his responsibility to his people; he didn't believe that Helen was worth the war...
but, in the end,as a good citizen, he did his duty and followed his king....

It was thousands of years ago. No one really knows.

I'd also suggest you read The Iliad and The Odyssey. It will explain pretty much everything that is known.

Also, please keep in mind that the movie Troy is fiction.
