If you are used to a PC then going to a MAC is going to take a little bit of time to get used to.
Significant amount of software is available for the PC compared to MAC.
Majority of businesses use PCs over Macs
More repair shops and experts available for PCs

Listen to someone that actually owns a MAC. Make owns more than 8% of the market, PC is loosing ground daily because Microsoft can't get there act together with Windows Vista. Vista has been delayed for 2yrs now but the PC users are parading there flag around about how good it is. MAC's do not get viruses like PC's, the also do not get Spyware like PC's. MAC makes there own software and hardware, this is a really good thing because it all works together!!!! On a pc you have to do a month of research to make sure all the junk your going to buy is compatible and then after you get the thing assembled you have to update the machine for 3hrs downloading service packs and critical patches, updated drivers, bla bla bla. A MAC will also run OS X and Windows on the SAME machine, I dont see the PC market doing this. If you want something that doesnt crash, and isnt loaded with cheap parts buy a MAC. If you need support just call Apple. Apple handles all hardware and software issues you have since they made it, on the other hand on a PC your parts are made from 40 different places, some in countries I have never heard of so good luck getting that fixed. Go read about MAC's tech support, its one of the highest rated. On a PC your lucky if you get a guy that speakes English on the phone and not from another country. Last, if a PC was sooo good, then why do they copy mac on everything such as USB, Firewire etc?

I would take a new mac before a new pc. I love the new macs they are relally awesome fast and I think that they will be the future of computing.

a mac is only good for 1 thing and 1 thing only..
graphical design(eg autocad, photoshop etc)
things i hate about mac's
case design very ugly.
the mac os what a laugh that is
the keyboard with that daft key u have to press if anything goes wrong
the cost of the mac outragous.
very hard to upgrade.
vs the pc which has the opisite of everything above.
