What's a good in class project that I can do related to Prohibition and the 1920s? I have an hour and a half. Thanks.

One exercise might be to show why prohibition was so difficult to enforce. You could make most of the class "bootleggers" and a few of the class "federal agents" and have the cops try and catch the bootlegers doing something illegal.

Popular culture could be a good hook. Most of the movies from that era were silent. Maybe you could act out a silent movie for the class about prohibition --- have title cards just like in the old movies. There were lots of songs from that era about prohibition.

You can do a presentation on the Purple Gang and the St. Valentines day Masacre. Or perhaps you could also do it on the passage of alchol into america and throughout the midwest during prohibition. It is really interesting.
