A bit of both really I recon. Chelsea were out of sorts after their midweek game and Spurs lifted their game because of who they were playing.

It was quite clearly Tottenham playing well.
They went one down and didn't drop their heads. Lennon ran the show on the right and Robbie Keane ran it on the left/up front.
Why is it every time one of the top clubs lose, people blame the ref or say 'they had a poor game'. Chelsea just couldn't get a second and that was because the Spurs defenders had a top game too.
Fair play to Mourinho, he congratulated Martin Jol at the end and took defeat on the chin (bar moaning about the ref).
They could've been like the sour French team in North London, who when they are beaten lose their heads, throw punches and look like spoilt brats who haven't had a chocolate bar.
Anyway, to answer the question, Spurs played well!!
Come on the spurs!!
Come on the yids!!!

Ask Poll how much he got for the blatantly thorough and biased job he did on Chelsea. I thought Chelsea were the team with money but was obviously wrong. Though Spurs realized that refs are far cheaper than players.

at the end of the day, the teams on the field are the ones who make the game what it is, and on the night it was just down to who wanted it more. Tottenham looked the hungrier of the two sets of players leaving Martin Jol over the moon and Jose Mourinho sick as a parrot, game of two halfs...bouncebackability and stuff like that...
hope this helps

Spurs played the better.
Ok Chelsea were kicking our but in the first 20 minutes, but after we started to get the play to the wings with lennon and keane, we kicked butt.
I mean keane killed it on the left kicking some dutch but of bolarouz and lennon on the right ruled over the best left back in the world.
But that Makelle goal was sensational, but i think the lennon goal equalled makelles goal.
Cummon u Spurs.

A bit of both I think.
The sending off of Terry had a major effect on the morale of the team and the quality of play was evidently decreased. The dissallowed goal of Drogba was also a major punch to their morale and play. They still played well and spurs were lucky that Robben hit the post. Spurs did play very well, especially Lennon and Keane.

I remember when arsenal (used to be the top team). they would come to the lane, kill the game off by boring us to death and scrape a 1-0 win.
but i can honestly say that both SPURS and chelsea played very well. And it's nice to see SPURS playing well against the so called big boys.
A WELL DESERVED WIN FOR THE MIGHTY SPURS
