Trevor Dunn. by far! he has played with his own project, Trevor's Dunn's Trio Convulsant, and Mr Bungle, Fantomas, and more i forget. but yea he's great.
Cliff Burton would also be a great choice, as he has a great story. [early bassist of Metallica, killed in bus accident].
[martin mendez is awesome too!]

Try Roger Waters - Pink floyd, very good musician and bass player, also many twists and turns as far as his life is concerned

The late John Entwhistle of the band "The Who" . Bootsy Collins of "Parliament" and the "Funkadelics", among others. Billy Sheehan of... all sorts of bands. Jack Bruce from "Cream". Good luck!

Chris Wolstenholme from Muse, truly amazing, and one of the more underrated musicians around.
Or if you wanna go for someone more well known (albeit cliched) go with flea, or cliff burton.
