First of all, a president cannot make a law, that's the job of congress. Second, according to the 22nd Amendment, which was proposed in March of 1947 and ratified February 1951, he can only serve 2 terms total, consecutive or otherwise, and it was the 2/3 majority in the congress both Republican and Democrats voted for it and it was ratified by 3/4 of the states' Legislation. Amending the Constitution has to be approved by states. Do you honestly think that 3/4 of the states will vote in favor of that? Another thing, dead people can't vote, so the Democrats lost fair and square. And to "My Little Pony" thank you ever so much for leaving and not wasting our resources.

Because, according to the Constitution, a president is not allowed to serve a 3rd consectutive term or longer, and the President has NO right to change the Constitution unless the House or Senate approves by majority vote (which is not going to happen IMO).

And if the President were to cheat like that (since Democrats are notorious for that), he would be impeached by the House and Senate.

Nice try.

It would take a constitutional amendment to allow him to run again, so (even if he were interested) it's not possible by passing a law. For that matter, Bush cannot pass a law, either - Congress has to do that.

Republicans sponsored this rule in the first place in response to FDRs unprecedented 4 term presidency. Besides, do you think he'd get re-elected now with a less than 40% approval rating? Even the Republicans don't want to be associated with him now!

Because some people have morals and choose to live by them. And I don't know how you can call it cheating when he won by such a huge margin. Get your facts straight.

He cannot do that with a law. He needs to change that pesky old Constitution. And that, he would most assuredly have a problem with.

It's not that simple for the President to make a law. It can be vetoed by congress.
