I am neither democratic, nor republican. I am a full fledge independent. I see BOTH sides of each story, and though once in a while I will lean right or left on topics, for the most part I stay neutral.
I read some of the responses to this question, and had to laugh. Some said that the state of the country is horrible. I want to laugh at this. Our economy is the BEST it has EVER BEEN! This is not just some crazy idea…I know it is true. I listened to it over many radio stations and news channels. Also look at the rate of unemployment….it is VERY low!
Also, some said that diseases aren’t getting cured because stem cell research is going along slowly. Well, while democrats were in power, and yes, stem cell research was there, though it was hush hush, diseases were still not getting cured.
And the claim that we could get nuked…Of course we can! Along with every other nation in the world! Just because the nation is run by republicans, doesn’t mean our risks are higher. It just seems to be higher because Democrats scream and throw tantrums BECAUSE THEY aren’t in power. (That is a VERY true claim…just watch the news. You will see democrats say crazy stuff that has been proven to be not true.)
And also, another claim is that lobbyists and senators are being bribed more often. Yes they are. But tell me a time when they weren’t? In Clinton’s days, HE was covering up a huge scandal in the major corporations. Corporations were able to make it look like they had more money than they actually did. Also, many of them weren’t paying their taxes that were required. So, the economy was booming with fake money. If this went on any long, our economy would have crashed. Not plummeted….but crashed! When Bush came into power, and the economy fell, it was because he was dealing with all the lies, and unclaimed taxes…not to mention 9/11.
So you see, both sides are guilty of bribing and hiding the truth.
Now don’t get the wrong idea…I am not saying that the republicans are doing an amazing job, I don’t like the war! I am just saying things aren’t as bad as they appear. Things are just blown out of proportion.

The threat of nuclear attach has been present despite whether there is a Republican or a Democrat in office. I don't know that Republicans are any better or any worse than Democrats they all seem to be in it for the money. Everyone elected to higher office usually have tons of money yet the approve income increases for themselves as if they really need anymore. All the while our deficit grows.
As far as a point made by another person above about stem cell research as long as they leave the brains of babies and children alone and use you as a test subject I would not object.

That would be a resounding "NO"
The arab world hates us even more than previously for being pushy conquerors.
The endangered species act has stalled.
The environment took more detrimental blows to conservation and lost more ground than in the previous SIXTY years.
Clean Air act...virtually destroyed. Clean water, shortly to be a thing of the past.
Eminent Domain, new rules destroy hundreds of thousands of lives, family's and private properties.
The economy is being run by the Oil companies who don't give a rip about anything but greenbacks, by Walmart who farms everything to China, and corrupt congressmen.
I could go on and on...
It is beyond me that ANYone would still vote for any person even remotely connected to the Bush administration.

Well, it's certainly a better place for the war-mongers, those who profit from war (such as the giant U.S. military-industrial complex), and those who promote and encourage war.
And I guess it's a better place for those who accept bribes from lobbyists and powerful special interests; it's certainly a better place for the pedophiles, prescription-drug abusers, alcoholics, wife beaters, and criminals who populate the U.S. Congress; and it's got to be better for the conservative-biased media!
It's probably a much better place for the corporate world and all those chief executive officers who earn hundreds of times what they pay their average employees.
It's probably a better place for all the nameless, faceless sub-humans who control our government from behind-the-scenes (such as wealthy elitists, bankers, corporate leaders, special interest groups, lawyers, judges, financial gurus, and white collar criminals).
The world probably isn't a better place for the millions of young children in America who still go to bed hungry every night; for the street-corner drug addicts; for the homeless, the disabled, the sick, the elderly, or the disadvantaged. It can't be a much better place for the unemployed, the underemployed, or the victims of jobs that were eliminated through corporate fraud, or sent overseas in the name of more corporate profitability.
But then I guess none of those people matter anyway. They're not a real strong part of the Republican power base, so why should the Republicans care about them??? -RKO-
