Where was Toby Keith and his nominations for the CMA's? It seems that I heard something a long time ago how he was shunned from them, but cant remember why...anyone know?

Toby usually doesn't get nominated for country music awards because he doesn't fit the 'cardboard cutout country singer catagory'. He records the kind of music he wants and is outspoken about things and the music industry doesn't like his attitude.

Apparently he'd been nominated a lot in the past and never won, then last year he won, but wasn't there to accept his award, and later it came out that he was out in the bathroom smokin' weed with Willie. My sister said he wrote a song about it. I just heard this story last night from her.

Sometimes you have to be a good person to be nominated in any awards, a good attitude could hooked many nominators....look how Rusell Crowe experienced it. Bad attitude, no lots of nominations.

he knew that he wouldn't win the award so he left but i think he should have won becasue he has so many good songs and albums.

Yeah, were was he. If he was shunned, I think it was because his fight with the Dixie Chicks. But was he really?
