I have a 1993 Honda VFR750. Its all white with a BRAND NEW paint head to toe and I would like to have some sort of protection if someone knocks it over in a parking lot (like what happened to my neighbor last week) or I take a spill (not likely, but it happens in LA). My fairings were hard enough to locate and very expensive. A point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Yahooooooooooooooooooo

Obviously they're not motorcycle owners...

They're called frame sliders, and bolt on to your VFR. They're available from most retailers...just grab yourself a copy of motorcyclist magazine and look in the ads...you'll see them.

or go online to a dealer like denniskirk.com

Yep, frame sliders and they are fairing savers!! I would never not have them.

..make sure you get not only the frame sliders, but the swing arm sliders as well. They sell 'crash kits' at dealers and online that include everything. The little cheap swing arm sliders saved my hubby a boatload of money when his bike went down at the track recently.

If the highway bar is big enough, it can help save the fairing but, as stated before, not much can save it if it goes down

Read the report on the link below, it describes how frame sliders can help protect your bike.

Cruisers have highway bars, but nothing can save fairings :(
