My boyfriend is having a hard time finding a job. He has been out of the military for about 4 months and places he has looked at tell him he is over qualified. I asked him if he wanted me to look up some jobs for him. He said he doesn't like asking for help. My question is should I help him anyways or just let him be? If I should help him, are there any sites that you know of that are veteran friendly for finding jobs?

The man has his pride. Coming out of the military and having a "dry spell" in finding employment...it's not that he doesn't want you support and encouragement, but he is 'proud' and doesn't want to think he has to rely on his girlfriend to find a job, he may think or feel it makes him appear to be less of "the man".
Ways that you CAN help him, is if/when he asks you to help update his resume, asks for your opinions or suggestions on job opportunities...or in any way comes to you "asking" for your help. But don't attempt to "take control" of the situation, it may cause him to feel as if you feel he is incapable of doing it himself.
Just be there for him.

NO!!! Male pride is not something to mess with. Offering to type his resume or proof reading a cover letter is about as far as you want to go. And whatever you do, don't pester.

i think you could both sit down and look together ...or if you find something all you can do is tell him a bout it just dont push him to do anything with your suggestion if he doesnt want to
