The last one I wrote up which was a 3.0 DOHC engine, ran almost $2000. That was @ a book time of 16 hours, new fel-pro head gaskets and bolts, machine shop labor to check the heads for cracks, replacing the oil and coolant, thermostat and flushing the cooling system. Could increase if heads need to be replaced.
If it is a OHV engine, it will be considerably less, unless the heads need to be replaced.

depends on where you take it. It was $1100 when i had the head gasket replaced on my 94 tarus. Your gonna wanna take this to a good mechanic too. The other thing, often times when a head gasket goes one or both of your heads will crack as well.

$400 to $600. But you need to be ready for the possibility that the head is craked.
