They are voted in by the majority party of the House.
If the Dems take the house. Pelosi will be the speaker of the House.

They are voted on by the majority party. Pelosi has already been promised the position.

Its always chosen by the party with the most seats--but historically...the party with the least number of seats typically fields a candidate also for the position---usually their minority leader.
it would be interesting should the Dems win and stage a revolt and someone else emerges as the Speaker--but thats unlikely.
