Investigations into a full recount show that he won.

But he never got that full recount.

willys56cj5 and MEL T, you should have kept reading. If a person votes for Gore, then also writes Gore in the write in area, it is a spoiled ballot, but it is obvious they voted for Gore.

Gore didn't demand anything. The first recount was mandated by state law because the margin was so small. When the first recount was done Bush's lead had dropped dramatically which suggested potential problems and additional recounts were done.
Early on Gore called for a state wide recount which would decide the election. If that was done the whole recount process would be complete in two weeks, not the month it eventually took. After Gore called for the recount it only took Bush an hour and a half to hold a press conference saying he would fight a statewide recount. Apparently his ambition outweighed other considerations, such as finding out who the people actually voted for.

Al Gore Recount

Because he believed there was voter fraud in Florida, due to complaints in Palm Beach and a freakish amount of votes for Pat. He became a sore loser, when he tried to supress the military absentee vote.

The popular vote is irrelevant, as this is a federalist country with electoral votes. I'm sure Al Gore understands that, even if he doesn't like it.

Aviator: That's actually incorrect. They would have HAD to have counted ballots with two votes for Al Gore to win. I don't think anyone could get behind that.

Because it was a close race. I don't fault Gore for trying, but I believe the outcome was accurate.

And aviator, read your own link! Here is a direct quote...

"The recount also showed that the only way that Al Gore could have tallied more votes was by using counting methods that were never requested, but that may have been applied if the USSC-mandated standards had been implemented, and which included "overvotes" — spoiled ballots containing more than one vote for an office."

So you think Gore should be in office by allowing "spoiled ballots"?! Ha! Now THAT would have been an election stealing!

He had the popular vote and Florida was the decisive state because not only was Bush's margin of victory so narrow, but also both candidates needed those electoral votes to win the Presidency.

Because he is a sore loser like you.
Great mask. Covers your unsightly face. Maybe you COULD get a husband now!
Then again ~ he'd have to see you eventually.

No husband - no kids - bully - ugly - AND OLD!
A trifecta PLUS 2!
