On my ldv flatback van, one of the indicators flashes really fast, like it does when a bulb has gone... but all of the bulbs work!! when i put the hazards on, it flashes at normal speed. Anyone got any ideas as to what i need to do to rectify the problem?

yea, there is slight damage to one of the wires, causing a short circuit.

if not this the flasher unit might have gone as the hazzards are on a different one, but this is unusual.

my bet is water in the light or somthing causing a slight short

Have you tried a new bulb? The flashing speed is dependent on resistance in the circuit. The bulbs resistance could be lower than normal, so try a replacement.

You have an earth fault through another bulb so its drawing extra current and heating up the flasher unit quicker.

Check all connections on all light units, particularly on the side where the fastest flashing light is

Two different flashers. The one for turn signals sounds like it's for a two bulb setup. Do you have three bulb system? The proper size flasher ought to do it! :-)=

flasher and indicators are usually on a different circuit. you might have a short circuit on the one side or you might need to relpace the flasher module
