Ok i was once a cashier and that was not right of her to do that
but one time
i saw this nice old couple buying candy and so i was like ( wanst even close to halloween ) so i said "u guys must like candy"
and the freakin b!tchy wife said, "why does it matter to u waht we eat"
and all i was trying to do was start a conversation

When I worked at a grocery store we were required to try and make small talk with our customers. It was a small locally owned store and the owner wanted everyone to feel like they were known personally and cared for at all times. Sometimes the easiest way to start a conversation with a customer is to comment on what they are buying, if it looks obvious that they are baking a cake or having a party or something like that, but we never laughed or commented on random things.

What I hate is when I buy a magazine and they'll stand their and read over the cover. I hate that and the people behind hate it even more

when i buy food they just stare at me like im a fat little pig. and i bet if i became one and i did the same thing they wouldnt like it. and its only over a 25 cents bag of chips.
