i don't know how to find unadvertised jobs but I just had tremendous success with finding a dream job through craigslist. I hope you find a great job whatever the route. Much luck to you.

You should try a staffing agency or a temp agency. They always have a crap load of jobs that arent advertised. And most temp assignments have the potential to turn into a full time, permenant position! Look in the Yellow Pages for your local agencies.

Submitt your resume to Human Resources desribing in the cover letter what kind of job you are intrested in. (This works the same even if you already work for the company and are just looking to transfer to a different department).

Find out which agency the company use and sign up with them (if you want to be sneaky call the HR dept pretending to be an agency and ask if they want you to advertise, then ask which agency they use).

You can always spec your CV to the company and ask them to consider you for positions that may become vacant, this is good for them too as it saves them advertising costs.

I guess by word of mouth, if they are indeed unadvertised.
