I work in an office where I sit on my butt for total of 6 to 8 hours a day with only a few times of getting up to go the bathroom or to use office equipment. I am right now a fairly petite girl and I am worried my hips and butt will get bigger from sitting all day. There are times where by butt actually hurts from sitting so much.

personally i would love for my hips and butt to get a little bit bigger but no, sitting all day won't or mine would be huge by now.....i work in a 6 X 6 office and have a chair on rollers so i only get up to use the rest room...and when i get home i work on my crafts which require me to be sitting......so you don't have anything to worry about, it won't get any bigger...maybe numb from sitting too long but not bigger!!!!

Oh I have a small frame. I was petite, not an ounce of fat on my body it seemed until. I got my desk job where I sat at a desk for 7.5 hours a day.

I was 120 when I started, I was 140 three months later. Now it is just over two years later and I did get pregnant and go up to 165 but lost that after a week and a half and went back to 140. Now no matter what I do im stuck at 140, diet exercize etc does not bring me down to 120 again. So yes it will defenatly affect your butt and your boobs and the hips mabye not.....I went from a b cup to a d cup aswell...and my butt did not hurt so mabye get a more comfertable chair.

But being in that desk job has defenatly screwed up my metabolism and everything because of the sedentary lifestyle it illicited. But as a forenote I ate like a horse before and could lie down all day long and still not gain a lb....because I burned more calories because I had a higher metabolism. Now im on maternity leave and a lot more active and hopefully can lose those extra 20lbs.
