When i upload tunes to my ipod do i have to use song from i tunes or can i download them from say Limewire and add them to my ipod using software except itunes like Windows Media Player is this possibe??

You can rip tunes from cd's and load them into your library, then upload onto an ipod. My wife does it all the time. They must be loaded into your itunes library though.

however, you can use itunes to put the songs that you have got from other sources on to your ipod.

no no neseseraly i use ares there i get all my song free but i started using ituns.
